Understanding Your Radiology Billing Statement
When you undergo a diagnostic imaging study (such as an MRI, CT, Mammogram, or Ultrasound) at one of our partner hospitals, you receive two separate bills:
- The Facility / Technical Bill: Billed by the hospital (e.g., McLaren Port Huron or Lake Huron Medical Center) covering imaging equipment maintenance, room utilization, and radiologic technologist staff.
- The Professional Interpretation Bill: Billed by X-Ray Associates of Port Huron, P.C. for the board-certified radiologist who analyzed your medical images, dictated the comprehensive diagnostic report, and consulted with your referring physician.
Our billing office is dedicated to working collaboratively with you and your insurance provider to ensure claims are processed quickly and accurately.
